2006-2007 Season

The Board of Directors of Pleiades Theatre Company has made the difficult decision to take the 2006-2007 season as a time to re-assess the future of Pleiades Theatre Company, and thus no mainstage productions will be offered this season. Among the issues that the board will be addressing during this time of transition is board development as a means to strengthen the financial and long-term stability of the organization. After ten years of existence, it is essential that the board grow beyond the artists who produce the productions—however committed our board members have been over time. Equally critical is the organization’s ability to fundraise and to market the excellent work that the company has produced over the past decade and wishes to do in the future.

We invite the many supporters of and advocates for Pleiades Theatre Company to contribute to our period of assessment. Please contact us with any ideas that might benefit the future growth of the organization. Do you know a potential board member? An advertiser? A corporate sponsor? How can our productions more closely relate to our mission.

Pleiades Theatre Company remains committed to being a presence in Louisville’s artistic community. We are a member of the Theatre Alliance of Louisville, we will continue to contribute to Jazz and the Spoken Word concerts, look for a continuation of the Stars of the Future New Play Project and, most important, make plans to attend our Fourth Annual Seven Sisters Award Ceremony in March 2007.
